EXCLUSIVE: Togethxr, the media company founded by star atheletes Alex Morgan, Chloe Kim, Simone Manuel, and Sue Bird as well as Jessica Robertson, has a new head of development.

The company has hired former Westbrook Media head of development Tina Tozzi in the role.

Tozzi will oversee the company’s scripted and unscripted slate. She had a similar role at Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s company, and before that was director of development at Alfred Street Industries, where she developed series such as Netflix’s Is it Cake? and Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo and Hulu’s Best in Dough.

Togethxr is behind series such as Surf Girls: Kaikana, a docuseries produced in partnership with Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and Prime Video, and The Syd and TP Show, an unscripted comedy series in partnership with Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort and FuboTV.

It is currently working on a feature-length documentary, executive produced by Tracee Ellis Ross, Sue Bird, and Nneka Ogwumike, about how the women of the WNBA played a critical role in flipping a Georgia Senate seat in the 2020 election. The doc is being directed by Dawn Porter and will air on Prime Video.

The company was founded in 2020. Jessica Robertson is Chief Content Officer and she was previously head of content at The Player’s Tribune.

Morgan is the captain of NWSL’s San Diego Wave FC and co-captained the U.S.’ women’s national soccer team with Carli Lloyd and Megan Rapinoe between 2018 and 2020, Kim is a two-time Olympic gold medalist snowboarder, Manuel is a Olympic gold medalist swimmer and Sue Bird is a former WNBA player, thought to be one of the best in the sports history.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the Togethxr team. 2023 was a year that proved the undeniable power of women in sports and media, both creatively and economically. There’s never been a more exciting time to make empowering content for us, by us,” said Tozzi.
