Tom Holland is teasing Spider-Man 4 after the actor revealed the Sony and Marvel film was happening.
The actor, known for spilling the tea when he’s not supposed to, kept details of the upcoming film very light but teased enough to excite fans.
“All I can tell you is that it’s happening. We are super close to having a creative, I think that is really worthy of the fans, but I think now we feel confident that the idea is strong enough that we can finally say that this is going ahead,” Holland said on Good Morning America.
He continued, “We’re going to shoot next summer. The idea is crazy. It’s a little different to anything we’ve done before. But I think the fans are going to really respond to it.”
Sony has already added to its release calendar an untitled Spider-Man movie set for release on July 24, 2026, with the film shooting in the summer of 2025.
Holland had previously teased that he had read a draft of the script for the new Spider-Man movie.
“We have a creative and a pitch and a draft which is excellent,” Holland said on The Rich Roll podcast. “It needs work but the writers are doing a great job and I read it three weeks ago and it really lit a fire in me.”
He continued, “Zendaya and I sat down and read it together and we at times were like bouncing around the living room. Like this is a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect, but there [are] a few things we need to figure out before we can get that really going. But it’s exciting and I’m really, really excited about it.”
