Rey Fenix has been slowed down by injuries recently, but Tommy Dreamer recently shared his joy in seeing Rey Fenix back inside the squared circle.
This week on AEW Dynamite, Rey Fenix competed in a Four-Way match to determine a new number one contender for Will Ospreay’s AEW International Championship. While speaking on the latest episode of Busted Open After Dark, Tommy Dreamer mentioned that he is happy to see Rey Fenix back in action. Dreamer praised Fenix and said he has a unique style of wrestling and could be on the level of WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.
“I’m so happy to have him back,” Dreamer said. “I mean, he’s one of these guys that I really thought would be up there like a Rey Mysterio. He has such a unique…he’s so good. Him and his brother I’m such big fans of. But the guy’s been hurt a bunch of times, and I hope his health continues, cause you get to see how unique he is and how good he is.” [H/T WrestlingInc.]

Tommy Dreamer thinks Roxanne Perez is the next Mickie James
Recently, while speaking on an episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast, Dreamer appreciated NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. He also said that she is the next Mickie James.
“[When Perez wrestled in TNA in early 2022], I just saw this amazing performer who was so young and so already TV ready,” Dreamer said. “Then all of a sudden, she shows up in NXT [a few months later]. I couldn’t be happier for her. And I compared her to she’s the next Mickie James. She has that personality, and this heel run that I see her having, I never saw that. Which is like when Bully [Ray] says like sometimes do the unexpected, and it works.” [H/T WrestlingInc.]
