If you watched any of Real Madrid’s Spanish Super Cup matches last week, you clearly heard the boos at Toni Kroos.
Los Blancos were very well supported in Riyadh, but the German midfielder was undoubtedly the exception. The reason for this has to do with comments Kroos made earlier this summer. He attacked Saudi Arabia for the influx of players into its league, especially those who are still very young (like Gabri Veiga).
