Toni Kroos explains her return to the German national team.

After announcing his international retirement in 2021, Toni Kroos made an about-face and decided last February to return to the German national team for Euro 2024.

The Real Madrid midfielder justified his decision during a press conference.

” Things have changed “

“When the coach contacted me to see if I wanted to participate in this tournament, the most important thing I asked myself was if I could help the team”Kroos said.

“I asked myself this question and I think I can answer it in the affirmative. (…) I have the feeling that things have changed, especially thanks to my performances in Madrid,” he added.

Kroos, who won the World Cup with Germany in 2014, will therefore be a major asset for the Mannschaft during the Euro which will take place at home this summer.
