We’re about one week closer to AEW Grand Slam Australia, and some mind games look to get played tonight on our champions on this edition of AEW Dynamite.
Renee Paquette is backstage looking to get a word with “The CEO” Mercedes Moné, and get her thoughts on Harley Cameron’s win at AEW Collision last week. Cameron and her “little CEO” say that this Saturday at Collision, she’ll be live in concert.
However, Moné has heard enough from inside her locker room and is not a fan of the entertainment. Moné says that despite Cameron’s cute victory, she’ll always be a loser and losers don’t ride the Moné train.
The AEW Women’s World Champion, Mariah May, is in commentary for tonight’s match as her challenger for her title, Toni Storm, is in action tonight against Queen Aminata. However, Storm is playing a new role tonight this time as “The Glamour” herself.
Storm is putting on a glamorous performance of May, but Aminata is determined to win this match despite being caught in the middle of these mind games.
The two competitors are beginning to take this match more seriously, and Aminata connects a rattling shin attack on the ropes to Storm. Storm channels the Glamour and begins to use May’s arsenal. She eventually hits The May Day to pick up the win against Aminata.
Storm gets the mic and begins to upstage “The Glamour,” but May has had enough of it.
