This support by Tonkeeper means users will soon be able to pay transaction fees on the TON network using HMSTR tokens through Tonkeeper’s Battery feature. This feature simplifies the transaction process by handling the technical details in the background, enabling users to send transactions more easily.
Daniel Cawrey, Tonkeeper’s Chief Strategy Officer, explained that when a user receives HMSTR tokens through an airdrop, they do not automatically have any TON TON $5.89 24h volatility: 1.7% Market cap: $14.94 B Vol. 24h: $415.16 M needed to pay for a transaction.
However, the Tonkeeper Battery feature helps solve this challenge by allowing users to add funds to their Battery using TON or purchasing crypto directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. He added that most Tonkeeper users are on Android. He said:
“When a user is airdropped the HMSTR, they have no TON. Battery is the solution for that. You can top up the Tonkeeper Battery with crypto on TON and also using the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.”
Cawrey said that the feature will kickstart on October 1st after reducing the HMSTR airdrop load. As of September 25, Tonkeeper had 34 million monthly active users and 8 million daily active users.
Hamster Kombat’s Expanding User Base and HMSTR Token Listings
Meanwhile, since its launch, Hamster Kombat has generated significant buzz. The play-to-earn game has amassed over 300 million users, and the HMSTR token is now listed on major crypto exchanges, including Binance, Bybit, and OKX, among others.
The airdrop has also commenced, as over two-thirds of the participants have been distributed among users, according to the team. More so, over 30 million participants have already started trading the HMSTR token across various exchanges.
The team has addressed potential issues users may face when accessing and sending their tokens. They stated that they are working closely with the TON team to develop a solution and ensure the entire process runs smoothly. The Hamster Kombat team further assured members that their tokens are safe and secure and that they will receive them all in due time.
Potential Impact of Tonkeeper’s Support on HMSTR Token Demand and Adoption
Tonkeeper’s support could further increase Hamster Kombat’s user base by building trust in the token. Such backing from a reputable wallet like Tonkeeper could increase the credibility and confidence users have in it. This could also encourage them to hold the HMSTR token for a longer period.
Since users can now use the token to pay for TON transaction fees, this could boost demand for it. If more players from Hamster Kombat begin using HMSTR tokens for transactions, the increased demand may drive up the token’s price.
