Tony Dokoupil and Adriana Diaz will host the new third hour of CBS Mornings, set to launch later this month on some CBS-owned stations and on the network’s streaming channel, CBS News 24/7.

The debut of CBS Mornings Plus will be on Sept. 30, with the 9 a.m. ET broadcast featured on stations in Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Detroit and Miami.

This is the first expansion of the CBS morning show to a third hour. NBC’s Today expanded to three hours in 2000, and later added a fourth. ABC’s Good Morning America added the noontime GMA3 in 2018. On cable, MSNBC’s Morning Joe expanded into the 9 a.m. ET hour in 2022.

Dokoupil will continue as co-host of the first two hours of CBS Mornings, along with Gayle King and Nate Burleson, and Vlad Duthiers as featured host. Diaz has anchored the Saturday edition of CBS Weekend News.

The third hour will be produced by the CBS Mornings team. Shawna Thomas is the executive producer.
