Tony Khan is not the man in the mask in the AEW Collision vignette, but he’s excited about the wrestler that is.

On the July 5 episode of AEW Collision, a vignette teased the arrival of a newcomer. The video showed someone jumping through a portal, and a man in a mask appeared.

Speaking with Tim Battle and Eli on the Battleground Podcast, Tony Khan commented on the mystery vignette after being asked whether he was the one under the mask.

“I can confirm that it was definitely not me in the mask, and I think it’s gonna be great,” Tony Khan said. “It’s somebody that I’m excited for, but it’s not necessarily teasing the biggest free agent signing or anything like that.

“But it’s a wrestler we’re really excited about. It’s cool to use vignettes to get people excited about introducing somebody to AEW. I think it’s gonna be something really cool. That vignette got people talking on Collision, we’ll have more of that. It’s really fun.”

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Dynamite as it airs on July 10.
