Tony Khan says that if AEW gets to a point where they have enough people and a fitting story, it would be great to have a women’s Blood & Guts match.

Since AEW introduced the Blood & Guts match in 2021, it has become one of the company’s top stipulation bouts. The contests have been brutal and bloody, and they have been used to settle heated rivalries. All the while, many fans have been hoping to see a women’s Blood & Guts match. So far, the stipulation has been limited to the men’s division.

Speaking with Battle and Eli on the Battleground Podcast, Tony Khan commented on the possibility of a women’s Blood & Guts match. He said that it would be great to have one. However, Khan also highlighted some of the challenges involved.

“At some point, it would be great to have a women’s Blood & Guts match,” Tony Khan said. “I think you need a lot of people tied in on the story, and a lot of healthy people. We’ve got a great roster that we’re building up, and I think our women’s roster is stronger than it’s ever been right now. I’m really excited about that. So if we ever get to the point where we’ve got enough people tied together and the story made sense, I think it’d be great.”

Britt Baker has said that she wants a women’s Blood & Guts match. Check out her comments here.

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Dynamite as it airs on July 10.
