Tony Khan comments on “predatory business practices” by WWE.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer recently noted that WWE supplied inaccurate overnight viewership numbers for the June 1 episode of AEW Collision. He noted that WWE supplied a reporter with numbers that were not accurate. Per Meltzer, the story is not new, and it has bas been talked about.
AEW CEO Tony Khan then replied, saying that these were the same predatory business practices that Jim Crockett Promotions and many other former wrestling territories faced in the 1980s. He stated that he was very grateful for the fans who watch AEW. Khan wrote that AEW is here to stay.
