Tony Khan wants to make sure when he gets a television deal for Ring of Honor, it’s the right one.
All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan recently participated in the Revolution Media Call. When asked about potentially securing a television deal for Ring of Honor, Khan said they’ve had conversations domestically and internationally but he’s not rushing into the deal so when a deal comes together it’s the best one possible.
“That’s a great question,” Tony Khan said. “We’ve had great conversations about it domestically and internationally. I want to make sure that when we make the deal, we make the best deal possible,” Tony Khan said. “So I haven’t been rushing. We have so many exciting things happening here around AEW right now.
“Just a couple months ago, we launched streaming on MAX. It’s only been a couple months, it’s just over two months now that the shows have been simulcast, and it’s been a great success. And then, just yesterday, we announced a new partnership with Amazon for this Sunday’s Revolution pay-per-view and all the upcoming AEW pay-per-views.
Tony Khan sees potential in the future of Ring of Honor
“I think as we’re getting all of our business lines in order and planning these new revenue streams, I do think Ring of Honor has so much potential. There are a lot of really exciting things happening around the company. I think that we had a great Final Battle show at Hammerstein this past year. I love that event, and I do think there’s really great things happening with some of the great young stars and some of the top veterans in Ring of Honor right now.
“And absolutely Ring of Honor we have had great conversations about that with TV partners, and I can’t say for sure when and where that would happen but it’s definitely something we’re interested in and have been putting time in on which is the future of Ring of Honor’s TV. Thanks for asking.”
