Tony Khan teases that the July 3 episode of AEW Dynamite will be a special show.
AEW is set to deliver a star-studded “Beach Break” episode of AEW Dynamite on July 3, just days after the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
Speaking with Good Karma Wrestling’s Jonathan Hood, Tony Khan previewed the July 3 episode of AEW Dynamite.
“It’s gonna be tremendous. We have so many great things,” Tony Khan said. “We have the International Champion, Will Ospreay, defending the title against Daniel Garcia. I think that’s gonna be so great. Ospreay is somebody who is just on fire. He had an amazing match in the main event of Forbidden Door. He was so close to becoming the AEW World Champion, and we’re really excited to have Ospreay versus Garcia this week on Wednesday night Dynamite.”
Tony Khan On Britt Baker, Mercedes Moné
Tony Khan went on to highlight the Owen Hart Foundation tournament, which will continue on Wednesday. He also teased that there could be some fireworks ahead of the Fourth of July, as Mercedes Moné and Britt Baker will both be in the building.
“Dr. Britt Baker has returned to AEW. We’ll hear from Dr. Britt Baker live, it’s gonna be really awesome,” Tony Kha said. “I can’t wait for that, and in addition, we saw Britt Baker return to AEW, and she interrupted the celebration post-match of Mercedes Moné, as Mercedes won the New Japan STRONG Women’s Championship and became a double champion.
“She also holds the TBS Title, and we’ll have Mercedes’ official double championship celebration. Should be interesting. Fireworks possible early ahead of the Fourth of July with this show, as we’ve got Dr. Britt Baker and Mercedes Moné in the same arena at the same time.”
Khan also said he thought it was one of the best cards AEW has had in TBS, and he would try to make it one of the best shows AEW has done.
