Top Nollywood stars present as veteran actor, Zulu Adigwe is laid to rest (photos)

The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Emeka Rollas, and other Nollywood stars such as Zack Orji, Hanks Anuku, Benedict Johnson and others stormed Abuja on Wednesday for the burial of their colleague, Zulu Adigwe.

TheNewsGuru.com recalls that the late veteran’s demise was confirmed by movie producer, Stanley Nwoko, via a post on his Instagram page, although without disclosing the cause of his death.

“I regret to announce the passing of a veteran actor, late Mr Zulu Adigwe. What caused his death is yet to be reviewed. Rest in peace good actor,” Nwoko had written on his social media handle.

 Adigwe, died on the evening of Tuesday, 23 April.

Sharing photos from the funeral event via Instagram on Thursday, the AGN president captioned the photos,  “Yesterday we condoled with the family of Late Zulu Adigwe. May his soul rest in peace.“

The late veteran started acting at the age of seven. He, however, made his earliest television appearance in Baci and Company, taking over the lead role from Albert Egbe.

His debut movie, Blood of the Orphan, earned him numerous accolades. In 2004, he starred in Living Abroad alongside Ernest Asuzu, Emeka Enyiocha, and Anne Njemanze.

In 2019, he portrayed Pascal Nworie in Living in Bondage: Breaking Free.
