Activist politician Omoyele Sowore has criticized the recent meeting between President Bola Tinubu and his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, during the Council of State gathering at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Sowore, who was the presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), labeled the meeting as “a failure meeting with a failure.”
Former presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Buhari attended the meeting in person, while ex-Military Heads of State Yakubu Gowon and Abdulsalami Abubakar joined virtually. However, former President Olusegun Obasanjo neither attended nor participated online.
This meeting marked Tinubu’s first Council of State session since assuming office, where he received support from council members who criticized the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria movement.
Reacting on X (formerly Twitter), Sowore posted, “Failure meeting with failure. Today in Abuja at the Presidential Villa, a former failed President @MBuhari had a meeting with the current failed President @officialABAT.”
