Torrie Wilson emerged as one of the athletically dynamic and beautiful women during WWE’s Ruthless Aggression era. Despite having a great run in the wrestling world with memorable storylines and moments, she never won a championship in WWE.
During recent interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Torrie got candid about the topic that has been prevalent in her wrestling career. She openly stated that not winning a title in the WWE has never bothered her, but it did bother other people, particularly her fans.
Moreover, she also made a great point by stating that championships did not define her as an in-ring competitor. While she became a highly popular star despite that, Torrie stated that there are many stars who won titles, but fans do not remember them.
“It never bothered me … No … the only thing that bothers me is that it bothered other people … they’re like ‘You should have!’ and I’m like that title that someone determines outside of the match doesn’t define who I am, right and the fact of the matter is … there are people that won titles that people don’t remember.”
While Torrie Wilson did not have any WWE Women’s championships added to her resume, it was in July 2002 that she did compete for one. Wilson was scheduled to battle then-champion and fellow WWE Hall of Famer, Molly Holly on SmackDown.
As Torrie rightfully mentioned, championship victories did not define her wrestling career but her hard work and in-ring acumen did and that body of work led to Wilson being inducted into the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame.
