Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal is closing in on an exit from the club and the North London outfit have already identified a potential replacement.

According to a report from FirenzeViola, Spurs are keen on the Fiorentina defender Michael Kayode. They will face competition from Aston Villa as well.

The defender is valued at €30 million and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to pay up. Meanwhile, the likes of Newcastle and Bournemouth have enquired about the talented young defender as well.

The 20-year-old could develop into a key player in the Premier League with the right guidance. Tottenham would certainly benefit from his arrival. The right-back could compete with Pedro Porro for the starting spot next season and he has the potential to develop into a key player for the club.

The reported €30 million asking price could be justified in the long term if the talented young defender manages to fulfil his potential with the London club.

 Michael Kayode to Tottenham?

Meanwhile, Aston Villa need to find a quality full back as well. Kayode would be a long-term investment for them and he will add depth and quality to the side. As far as Newcastle are concerned, they need to start planning for a future without Kieran Trippier.

Kayode would be a superb option for them and it remains to be seen whether they can win the race for his signature. All three clubs have the financial resources to pay €30 million for him, and it it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
