It has not been smooth sailing for Raphinha at Barcelona. The Brazilian arrived in Catalonia in 2022, but had to play second-fiddle to Ousmane Dembele in his debut season, although he played a key role in the club’s La Liga triumph.

This season, with Dembele departing, Raphinha was expected to pick up the mantle of Barça’s first-choice right winger. However, the 27-year-old Brazilian international has been unlucky with injuries.

Indeed, the Brazilian international has had two injury issues this term, with the latest coming last month against Osasuna in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final.

During Raphinha’s absence, Lamine Yamal has risen to prominence and is slowly starting to become an ‘untouchable’ for Barcelona despite his tender age of 16 years.

It casts Raphinha’s future in doubt, especially with the Blaugrana needing an important sale in the summer and he is a player who is attracting interest from the Premier League and Saudi Arabia.

Tottenham eyeing Raphinha

Indeed, as per Paul O’Keefe, an English FA intermediary, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Raphinha from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

Spurs had been briefly linked with Raphinha during the summer of 2022 back when he left Leeds United for Barça.

And, it appears that the Lilywhites might be willing to go after the Brazilian international in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Raphinha, whose market value stands at €50 million, could be on the market come summer, considering that he is no longer guaranteed a starting spot at Barça.

Obviously, things might depend on whoever comes in to replace Xavi Hernandez as the next Barcelona manager.

But with the team in need to boost finances and Tottenham interested in Raphinha, a sale in the summer might not be completely out of the question at this point.
