Tottenham host Manchester City on Friday evening (9 p.m.), in the round of 32 of the FA Cup. A match to follow live with commentary on our site.
Tottenham-Manchester City, pre-match
It has now been over a year since Manchester City last won against Tottenham. If they had won on January 19, 2023 against the Spurs (4-2), Pep Guardiola’s men then lost on February 5 of the same year (1-0, 22nd day of the Premier League). This season, they conceded a draw at home on December 3 (3-3, 14th day). The opportunity is therefore given to them to take their revenge, but Tottenham is determined to achieve a good blow at home, during a round of 32 of the FA Cup which they are playing at home this Friday (9 p.m.).
As for the composition of the London team, Ange Postecoglou will have to do without a few elements. Giovani Lo Celso, Alejo Veliz and Manor Salomon are injured, while Ryan Sessegnon is also out. Heug-min Son is competing in the Asian Cup, while Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr are at the CAN. On the Mancunian side, still no Erling Haaland, still too weak physically. On the other hand, Kevin De Bruyne could well be established.
