Rodrigo Bentancur now knows his sanction. Last June, during an interview with Uruguayan television, the 27-year-old midfielder made quite derogatory remarks towards the South Korean community, saying that all South Koreans “were more or less alike», referring to Heung-Min Son. Comments which were taken up by the English Federation despite the apologies of the former Juventus Turin player.
This Monday, the Uruguayan is now aware of his sanction. Indeed, Bentancur received a heavy sanction of seven suspension matches in the Premier League. To this sanction must be added a fine of 119,000 euros. A hard blow for Ange Postecoglou and the Spurs.
