Tottenham’s Giovani Lo Celso is set to force his way out of the club this summer after being left upset by his lack of minutes.
The Argentine has only started four games in the Premier League, and the majority of his appearances for Ange Postecoglou’s side have been cameos from the bench.
Lo Celso joined Spurs for £27m in 2020 from Real Betis, and spent last season on loan at Spanish side Villareal.
Lo Celso to force his way out this summer?
Postecoglou decided against loaning the Argentine international out this season but the 28-year-old has been unable to force his way into the Australian’s plans.
Spanish publication Estadio Deportivo have reported that Lo Celso is angry with Postecoglou over his lack involvement.
Lo Celso could return to former club Real Betis this summer.Lo Celso’s contract runs until 2025 and Spurs will likely have to accept a cut price deal for the midfielder.
The report adds that Lo Celso has been upset with Postecoglou, and he will look to force his way out of the club this summer.
It’s claimed that his former side Real Betis, who the Argentine international played for between 2018-2020 are keen to re-sign him.
The midfielder scored 16 goals in 46 appearances for the Spanish outfit and reportedly Lo Celso would be in favour of returning to Betis as he feels it would help him get back into the Argentina squad.
It looks like Lo Celso will miss out on the Copa America this summer, but is believed to be determined to play a key role in the 2026 World Cup.

Reportedly the La Liga side have been ‘in constant and fluid’ contact with Tottenham over a move for the midfielder, and are leading the race to sign him.
It’s claimed that a move to Barcelona would be appealing to Lo Celso, but the Catalans may find it difficult to match Tottenham’s asking price given their ongoing financial issues.
Lo Celso has made 17 appearances in all competitions this campaign, and has scored two goals and provided two assists.
