Pep Guardiola’s side are the reigning champions after getting their hands on the trophy on their way to a historic treble last campaign.

However, they now face a tough trip to London where their fellow Premier League giants will try to end their hopes of winning back-to-back titles.

Tottenham vs Manchester City: Fantastic Mr Foden

How good has Phil Foden been for Man City this season?

The 23-year-old has become his side’s creative hub as he stepped into a more central role to cover for Kevin De Bruyne

Foden has scored 11 goals in all competitions this season while also providing eight assists.

And he absolutely loves the FA Cup…

He has been involved in 16 goals in just 14 starts for City in the competition, scoring five and assisting three in his last six appearances.

A double against Huddersfield helped Guardiola’s men progress and he’ll be aiming to continue his fine form in the fourth round.

Tottenham vs Manchester City: Team news

Tottenham will remain without Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma with both players reaching the knockout stages at AFCON.

Heung-min Son is likely to be staying at the Asian Cup for while longer too.

Dejan Kulusevski has recovered from illness while Micky van de Ven’s issue at the weekend was nothing more than cramp.

In the treatment room, James Maddison remains out alongside Manor Solomon, Alejo Veliz, Giovani Lo Celso and Ben Davies

As for Man City, Erling Haaland is back in full training and could return to the matchday squad.

John Stones is still out while Manuel Akanji is also expected to play no part in London.

De Bruyne could start but his minutes are still being limited over fears of his hamstring injury reoccurring.

City have attempted 84 shots with 22 on target in those five games without ever finding the net. Tottenham Hotspur have won 12 of their last 13 home games in the FA Cup (D1) since losing 1-0 to Crystal Palace back in February 2016 at White Hart Lane. This is the first time they’ll face the holders of the competition on home soil since February 1952, losing 3-0 to Newcastle United.

Tottenham vs Man City: What has been said?

Guardiola has the chance to achieve the one goal he set following City’s incredible treble win last campaign.

When asked what he has left to achieve at the club, the City boss said: “Score a goal against Spurs away! It's why I stay, I want to beat Spurs away."

He will be aiming to end the wait for a positive result in north London and Postecoglou knows the challenge that awaits his side.

Speaking after the 3-3 draw at the Etihad in December, the Tottenham manager praised City and Guardiola.

He said: “Pep has got a fantastic team. He’s had such a fantastic team for such a long time.”
