The Turkish club have agreed to let him leave, but have yet to agree with Palace on the payment of his salary. He could thus return to his training club, in which he played between 2010 and 2013. After signing for Manchester United in January 2013, he was loaned until the end of the season. He was loaned again to Crystal Palace, between 2014 and 2015, before signing there permanently. In total, he played 458 matches, scoring 90 goals and providing 62 assists.
Having left for Istanbul on a free last summer, Zaha played in the Champions League for the first time in his career. He even scored at Old Trafford against Manchester United, his former team, during the Turks’ victory (3-2). Champion of Turkey with Mauro Icardi and his ilk, the Ivorian international (33 caps) played 43 matches, for a total of ten goals and five assists. But he was not always a starter under Okan Buruk. That is why he wants to leave the Istanbul club.
