Manchester United's hopes of a free run at a summer move for Crystal Palace star Michael Olise are set to be scuppered by interest from some big-name rivals.

Incoming minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe has put England international Olise at the top of his shopping list and talkSPORT revealed on Monday that United would be open to offering former Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in part exchange.

However, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal have also been alerted to a release clause in Olise’s freshly-signed new contract, believed to be well in excess of £50million.

Man United may have to get in early to secure the 22-year-old’s services.

Still waiting...

Kalvin Phillips has been left in limbo as he looks to secure a move away from Manchester City this month.

England midfielder Phillips is desperate to leave last season’s treble winners and ensure he gets a decent run of games ahead of the upcoming European Championship.

But, with just 17 days of the transfer window remaining, no club has yet tabled a serious offer for the former Leeds ace.

Newcastle are believed to be Phillips’ keenest suitors but have been unwilling to bow to City’s demands for a £7m loan fee and obligation to make the deal permanently in the summer.

That could change now that Magpies midfielder Joelinton is set to be for the rest of the season due to injury.

Klopp's still a fan

Liverpool retain an interest in Chelsea defender Levi Colwill.

The Reds wanted to prise Colwill away from Stamford Bridge last summer before the England international signed a new long-term contract.

Chelsea’s willingness to sell Tottenham target Conor Gallagher to help stay on the right side of Premier League Profitability and Sustainability rules means they could also be vulnerable to offers for fellow academy graduate Colwill.

talkSPORT understands Colwill was open to a move away from west London before being convinced by Mauricio Pochettino he would be a first-team regular.

The centre-back has spent most of the season playing out of position at left-back while Ben Chilwell has been out injured.

Bargain buy

Southampton have slapped a £6m asking price on striker Che Adams.

Adams is on the radar of Wolves, Crystal Palace and Everton as clubs in the bottom half of the Premier League look to bolster their attacking options.

Scotland international Adams has netted four times in his last five appearances for the Championship club and will be available as a free agent when his Saints contract expires in the summer.
