There is not a single transfer window where Chelsea is not active. In recent years, the London club has been one of the most prominent clubs in the transfer market.

Beaten by Manchester City this Sunday during the first day of the Premier League (defeat 2 goals to 0), the English club does not yet seem to be ready and would like to strengthen its attacking sector before the end of the transfer market.

The Blues have reportedly checked off the name of a Juventus star. According to information from Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Londoners would like to recruit Italian striker Federico Chiesa.

The 2021 European champion with Italy is not part of Juventus and Thiago Motta’s plans for this exercise. His departure therefore seems logical and inevitable before the summer transfer window closes.

Contract ends in June 2025

A key player for Juventus in previous seasons, Federico Chiesa has seen his status evolve in the squad of the Old Lady. Now, the Italian international is being pushed towards the exit. His contract with the Turin club ends in June 2025.

Faced with this situation, Chelsea intends to jump at the chance to sign the player. If the interest of the English were to intensify, the English club could pay the sum of 35 million euros (the amount of his market value to recruit him) or even less.

The latest reports suggested that the Italian management could let him leave for 15 million euros. A sum more than affordable for many European clubs. However, to afford Chiesa, the London management must first settle the future of Raheem Sterling. To be continued…
