Kylian Mbappé is happy that his story with Paris SG is definitively over. Nasser Al-Khelaifi took it for his rank.

Since Monday, and the official announcement of his transfer, Kylian Mbappé has been a Real Madrid player. This Tuesday, he experienced his first speech as a Merengue player. Logically, he expressed his happiness at joining the European champion club, but he also did not mind taking shots at PSG.

The Bondynois returned to his complicated end to his history with the Ile-de-France club. “It’s a great relief, I’m very happy, I think you can easily see it on your face, did he declare. I played a lot less at the end of the season and everyone knows why. That’s how it is, you have to adapt when you’re a high-level player.”

Mbappé attacks Al-Khelaifi again

The French international also admitted to having been unhappy in recent months, without however trying to justify his average performances. “ I think a happy man is more likely to play well than an unhappy man. There is no excuse for my past performances and those that I will experience. I’m very happy but it won’t win a match. We all need to get ready, me first. I approach these matches calmly and with enthusiasm,” he confided.

Mbappé and Al-Khelaifi did not really part as good friends.

Then, and without quoting him, he pointed the finger at Nasser Al-Khelaifi for the way he treated him : “At PSG I wasn’t unhappy, that would be a shame and in the face of the people who defended me, I was always happy. But things made me unhappy. But a player like me couldn’t show it because I’m a leader. People were following me so I tried to be as positive as possible. The coach, players and employees of the club supported me. It would be a bit bastard to come and spit and say that I was unhappy. But things and people made me unhappy. »

He also defended his record

While acknowledging that he has not always given satisfaction, Mbappé still defended his results for the financial year which has just ended. “I think I attacked this season with a different ambition, with different demands because I always thought I wasn’t going to play. As soon as I played, it was already a successful season. Even though I had better seasons, it was the most difficult to play and I am proud to have played it. Technically. It’s perhaps a little lower than my standards but when I see everything I had to go through I’m happy and I think it’s the best season of my career. »
