Transformers One, the recent CG-animated feature from Paramount Animation and Hasbro Entertainment, starring Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry, is set to stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada on Friday, November 15, the streamer announced on Thursday.
The film’s availability in additional international Paramount+ markets will be announced at a later date. Pic’s streaming debut follows a theatrical release that saw it take in over $128 million worldwide. While logged on to Paramount+, Transformers fans can also access all seven live-action films in the franchise, along with Paramount+ original animated series Transformers: Earthspark, which has unveiled three seasons.
Directed by Toy Story 4’s Josh Cooley, the latest Transformers film delves into the untold origin story of how the legendary Optimis Prime (Hemsworth) and Megatron (Henry), the respective leaders of the Autobots and Decepticons , went from brothers-in-arms to sworn enemies. Others in the cast include Scarlett Johansson as ELITA-1, Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee, Steve Buscemi as Starscream, Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion, and Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime.
