Real Madrid remain confident they can secure a free transfer deal for Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold in 2025.

Los Blancos are reportedly working on a deal for the England international as part of a possible transfer. Alexander-Arnold is out of contract at Anfield at the end of the 2024/25 season, but the Premier League giants are not interested in a possible January departure.

The latest update states that Liverpool have resigned themselves to losing the defender at the end of the campaign as Real Madrid close in. However, the 25-year-old may not have an easy choice between Madrid and Merseyside, with other clubs expressing interest.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has several admirers

According to the latest reports from Talksport, Real Madrid’s rivals Barcelona are considering a bold move, alongside Bundesliga powerhouses Bayern Munich.

Barcelona’s delicate financial situation is less worrying, due to the absence of a transfer fee and further exits expected to Catalonia in the coming months.

Real Madrid hope to be able to formalize a deal as quickly as possible, to avoid Liverpool forcing them to change their minds or a rival getting involved.
