Liverpool supporters asked Trent Alexander-Arnold to choose between being a “friend or a traitor” in the face of rumors of an imminent transfer to Real Madrid.
Real Madrid's interest in Alexander-Arnold is not new. The Spanish giant had expressed his interest in the English international last year and, in January, would have submitted an offer to get attached to his services. However, Liverpool has declined the offer, keeping his player formed at the training center in Anfield – for the moment. His current contract expiring at the end of the season, Madrid could recruit him for free this summer.
Alexander-Arnold is a player in the country who has always displayed his love for the club. However, with the imminent starting rumors that multiply, many supporters feel disappointed with its apparent change of opinion.

In response, some supporters have taken matters into hand, sending strong messages to the player. Placarded banners near Anfield sported slogans such as ” Loyalty or treated, it's up to you to choose, Trent » And ” Friend or traitor, it's up to you to choose, Trent “testifying to the frustration and disappointment of some of the supporters of Liverpool.
If Alexander-Arnold decided to join Real Madrid, he would benefit from a substantial financial windfall. According to some sources, the Spanish club is ready to offer it an annual salary of 15 million euros, a significant increase compared to its current income in Liverpool. In addition, he would receive major premiums related to his performance and signature indemnity.
Alexander-Arnold is currently absent from the field due to an ankle injury and lacked Wednesday's victory against Everton. The Reds resume competition Sunday against Fulham.
