Trick Williams and TNA Wrestling’s Joe Hendry were victorious in the main event of WWE NXT last night against Ethan Page and Shawn Spears.
Former NXT Champion Trick Williams was scheduled to team with Je’Von Evans last night to take on Shawn Spears and newly crowned NXT Champion “All Ego” Ethan Page.
But a backstage attack from Brooks Jensen on Evans sidelined the young NXT Superstar leaving Williams forced to find a new partner on short notice. Luckily for him, all he had to do was say his name.
Following NXT last night, cameras caught up with Trick Williams following his main event victory and he gave credit to the TNA star for having his back.
“It felt good to get a little payback on Spears and Ethan Page today,” Trick Williams said. “But trust and believe I will not rest until I get my NXT Championship back. And shout out to Joe Hendry, all I had to do was say his name.”
At this point, Joe Hendry would appear once again and praise Williams for his performance in the match. Trick, once again, tried to fist-bump Henry but it didn’t quite work out.
