The WrestleMania 40 press event ended with an all-out brawl between top WWE superstars jockeying their positions in regards to being in the main event of The Showcase of the Immortals.

However, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has seemingly made his decision after his fellow TKO Board member, The Rock asked him to fix the situation, but that decision was not in The Great One’s favor.

The Game took to his Instagram to announce that 2024 Royal Rumble match winner, Cody Rhodes, who picked Roman Reigns as his choice, will indeed get to battle The Tribal Chief at WrestleMania 40 for the Undisputed WWE Universal title.

“Decision made. @americannightmarecody gets the chance to finish his story when he challenges @romanreigns in the main event of #WrestleMania XL.”

This came after The Rock’s attempt to insert himself into the WrestleMania 40 conversation for a dream showdown with his iconic cousin, Roman Reigns. Moreover, he and Reigns both stood by that decision and by each other’s side when Cody Rhodes made his choice and seemingly brought the Anoa’i family into the mix.

The Rock slapped Cody Rhodes on the stage for seemingly insulting his family legacy which led to the fiasco at the end of the press event. However, with Triple H choosing Cody Rhodes over The Rock for the WrestleMania main event, we will have to see what happens next on the road to WrestleMania.

What will The Rock have to say about Triple H’s decision? Sound off in the comments!
