Triple H named his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 28 as the best moment of his career.
The “End of an Era” match was one of the marquee matches at WrestleMania 28. It was during the peak of The Undertaker’s streak matches, and was the second year in a row he took on Triple H. The match signalled the end of an era in wrestling. It marked the end of the full-time careers of the two competitors, as well as Shawn Michaels, who refereed the Hell in a Cell match. The Undertaker won the match, which has gone down an all-time classic.
Triple H recently spoke with Jazzys World TV. He was asked about his favorite moment from his career. The former WWE Champion immediately chose the WrestleMania 28 bout as his number one moment. This was because the match felt like closing out an era in wrestling with the three legends.
Triple H added that it was his favorite moment, because of the friendship and respect he had for Michaels and Undertaker.
“Oh gosh, a favorite moment for me was a match called the End of an Era match.” Triple H said. “With myself, The Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels. We were all standing at the top of the ramp after WrestleMania. Closing out what truly felt like the end of an era for us. As friends, and with the respect we had for each other, being able to share that moment is one of the favorite moments of my career.”
