Triple H has full confidence in Cody Rhodes.

Saturday marked a rare feat as Cody Rhodes became only the fourth person in WWE history to win back-to-back Royal Rumble matches. With this win, Rhodes has now once again secured himself a title match of his choosing at WrestleMania. Before the Road to WrestleMania truly begins its course, though, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque looks back on the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match, issuing praise for several of its entrants.

“I thought both [CM] Punk and Cody had an incredible showing, as did so many, but just an incredible showing. For two guys that really, both you could say if they ended up in that spot, how could you argue with him? So my hats off to both of them,” Levesque said during the Royal Rumble post-show press conference.

“Bron Breakker had a spectacular night, sort of debuting in the Royal Rumble. Explosive is the only way to explain Bron, but he had a great night. He’s going to do great things in the future. And then Andrade, the return. Just a phenomenal talent that I cannot wait to see what he can do now in this time. It’s the right time. Before maybe not, but now it’s the right time for him. It’s the right time for him to be able to come here and showcase what he can do. I’m excited for that.”

Cody Rhodes Is ‘The Right Person’

Speaking further on Cody Rhodes’ contributions, Levesque shared his admiration for Rhodes’ outstanding dedication to WWE, its fans, and his work in the ring. Taking all of that into account, Levesque believes that Rhodes is the correct person to be positioned near the top of the main event scene.

“Cody was out here, I heard him talking about the area, heard him talking about why he’s doing this, his family, a lot of different things. There is nobody more dedicated to this craft,” Levesque said. “The respect that he has for it is second to none. Even I’m waiting for him to come back in gorilla while he spends 45 minutes out there meeting people and shaking hands and taking pictures. And I’m like, ‘Somebody’s got to go get him. We have a press conference happening, and it’s already started, and they’re waiting for us.’ I love that.

“I love his dedication to our WWE universe, to fans, to anybody. He is the right human being. He is the right person. His passion for this, his dedication for this, is second to none. It’s bandied around as a term a lot, but he absolutely is the future of this for all the right reasons. And I don’t want it to sound condescending to him, and I try when I look at him not to see his dad [Dusty Rhodes], but I’m incredibly proud of him, and I know his dad would be. So he had an awesome night with that.”
