Since its debut in 1993, WWE Raw has been a cornerstone of Monday night television. Despite the challenges posed by NFL competition during football season, the show has remained steadfast in its time slot, solidifying its legacy as the longest-running weekly episodic program. With Raw’s move to Netflix, fans wondered if WWE might finally switch nights to avoid clashing with Monday Night Football. However, Triple H has confirmed that Raw will stay right where it is.

Speaking on the SI Media podcast with Jimmy Traina, Triple H revealed the decision to remain on Mondays wasn’t taken lightly. “Monday night was contemplated,” Triple H shared. “Is that a move off of Monday? Is it stay on Monday? It’s also a 30-plus-year tradition. You have to factor that in.”

Triple H emphasized that WWE’s leadership weighed numerous factors, including the global reach of WWE and Netflix. “Yes, Monday is NFL, but that is not a factor in a lot of the world. There were a lot of factors heavily weighed.”

Triple H added that WWE considered every angle before deciding that sticking with Monday nights was the best option. “We determined what was best and what was best was staying on Monday.”

Now, with the NFL regular season winding down and only one playoff game scheduled for a Monday, WWE Raw has a clearer path to dominate the night as it enters this bold new chapter on Netflix. Fans can expect the same high-octane action, but now with the added accessibility and global reach that Netflix brings to the table.

As Raw embarks on this new era, the decision to maintain its iconic Monday slot underscores WWE’s commitment to tradition while embracing innovation.
