IMG Credit: WWEWelcome back! There are a variety of reasons for a wrestler to be out of action for a lengthy period of time, with injuries being one of the most common. That can be a terrible thing to see and the question becomes just how long they will be away from the ring. It can also make for a great moment when they return, which was the case again this weekend for three big names.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s In: Former WWE Intercontinental, United States Champion Makes AEW Debut At All In
There were a pair of returns this weekend at AEW All In. First, on the Zero Hour show, Jamie Hayter made her return by chasing off Saraya and attacking Harley Cameron. Hayter has been out of action since May 2023 with a back injury. Second, Nigel McGuinness was a surprise entrant in the Casino Gauntlet match. This was McGuinness’ first match in nearly 13 years after he retired in 2011 due to a series of injuries. There is no word on how long he will be staying in the ring. Finally, Sting returned to save Darby Allin from the Elite. There is nothing to indicate he will be ending his retirement.
They’re good. Check out who is back in AEW:
Opinion: This is the kind of stuff that makes things feel all the bigger, as you have a trio of stars, two of whom are legends, showing up at the event. That is more than you get at almost any other AEW show of the year and it certainly worked here. All In felt like a major show and the biggest that they are going to do this year, at least some of which is due to these stars returning like they did.
