Troy Deeney has picked his best performers from the weekend’s action.

The Premier League team of the week (and manager) that have most impressed him.

Included in his choices is one from Newcastle United.

This NUFC individual just one of many who contributed to an excellent team performance that deserved at least a point against Manchester City.

Troy Deeney explains why he has picked out Sandro Tonali for his Premier League team of the week and then the full eleven (twelve) are listed below:

“I’m going for a little wildcard here.

“I think he’s one of those people who’s obviously made a mistake, but he’s so naturally gifted as an athlete he’s been able to come back in to the Newcastle side like he hasn’t left.

“I know he’s had a couple of games off the bench, but he covered a lot of ground, he got after the Manchester City players and made sure Newcastle were on the front foot.”

I thought Sandro Tonali was very good on Saturday but I must admit that even better, were the likes of Lewis Hall, Dan Burn and Anthony Gordon.
