‘True Crime News’ Names Albert Lewitinn As Showrunner

True Crime News, the syndicated show from Warner Bros. Unscripted Television and Telepictures, has found its showrunner and exec producers.

Albert Lewitinn has been named showrunner and exec producer with Jeremy Spiegel and Theresa Coffino joining as exec producers.

This comes ahead of the show’s launch on September 9 as it has been cleared in 98% of the country.

Ana Garcia, the host of the True Crime Daily podcast, hosts the show, which will produce 52 weeks of original half hours.  

Lewitinn has been working with Warner Bros. Discovery since May, having previously been consulting with the European Broadcasting Union. He was previously head of live programming at MTV, VH1 and CBS News.

Jeremy Spiegel are also exec producers of Extra, which was renewed earlier this year for its 31st season on Fox Television Stations.

True Crime News will also air on thet Fox-owned stations in markets such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. The show will also air on stations across Nexstar, Sinclair, Hearst, CBS, Scripps, Tegna, Sunbeam, Sinclair (GOCOM), Graham Media, Bahakel, Mission, Lockwood, Block, Allen Media, Standard Media, and Winston.
