Matt Gaetz withdraws Donald Trump Attorney General Venmo Evidence

Donald Trump defending an accused underage sex predator? Don’t tell his “friend” and “good guy” Diddy or “terrific guy” Jeffrey Epstein!

Seriously, this may not be shocking per se, but it is still so mind-bogglingly brazen from the President-Elect of the United States.

The House Ethics Committee‘s damning report on Matt Gaetz was finally released on Monday. In 37 pages they showed ample evidence the Florida Republican spent tens of thousands of dollars on cocaine and other illegal drugs — and over $90,000 on prostitutes — from 2017 to 2020, while he was a sitting member of Congress. And yes, one of those prostitutes was a 17-year-old girl who had just finished her junior year of high school when he had sex with her for money. Disgusting, shame on him!

Trump’s response to the very different kind of confirmation about the man he wanted to be his Attorney General? Full support!

Gaetz showed off a handwritten note (Trump famously doesn’t email — paper trails and all) from his party leader on Monday evening, writing on his X (Twitter) account:

“I got a great note from President Trump!”

That note? A little missive in marker saying simply:

“MATT – VERY UNFAIR! -D”

The words were written on the top of a printed out article from The Federalist. You know, Meghan McCain‘s husband’s outlet.

Why that article? The author had bashed the Ethics Committee’s report for rehashing testimony from witnesses with “massive credibility problems.” Like… very young prostitutes and fellow Florida Republicans who had been convicted of the same crimes Gaetz was accused? We mean, sure, those witnesses ain’t exactly judges and pastors. But they’re the ones who were present for the illicit drug use and sex payments, so… Not sure what they want.

As for the statutory rape, one of the witnesses to those sex acts was the girl herself. We mean, it doesn’t get more firsthand than that. You can read the full Ethics Committee report HERE btw.

But hey, Trump thinks it’s unfair. And as a man who has been personally accused of rape by several women — including his ex-wife and a girl who was just 13 years old at the time — he know what he’s talking about when it comes to this stuff. So if he supports Matt Gaetz, you can be sure they’re both equally innocent.
