Bayern Munich are reportedly considering signing struggling Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk in the January transfer market.

According to The Athletic, the German giants considered signing the 23-year-old following winger Kingsley Coman’s serious knee injury. However, the Bundesliga club have decided to accelerate the move to bring in Bryan Zaragoza from Granada, who joined the club on loan before committing permanently next summer, as was previously agreed.

Mudryk has struggled since signing for Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk for £89million in January 2023.

Bayern dream of Mudryk

The Ukraine international has scored just four goals and four assists in 41 appearances for the west London side. In addition, he sometimes has difficulty getting established.

Mudryk joined Chelsea just over a year ago on an eight-and-a-half-year contract until 2031. The Blues outbid London rivals Arsenal for his signature, but the move came at a price of gold has not gone as planned so far.
