Big scare in Girona during training yesterday. During a practice match, Yan Couto and Juanpe suffered a serious head impact, colliding violently with each other, requiring immediate medical intervention. Their coach, Míchel, expressed his concern: “Yan Couto and Juanpe had a headbutt between them and at the moment they are in the hospital. The situation seems bad.” After being taken to hospital, Yan Couto had to undergo an operation to sew up tissue with stitches.

Both players were able to leave the hospital the same day. Today, Yan Couto reassured his supporters by posting a story on Instagram where he appears smiling. Despite this incident, Girona maintains its third place in La Liga at the end of the season. The Catalans will travel to Gran Canaria this weekend to face Las Palmas.
