A wrestler getting to be the first holder of a championship is an historic moment and quite important for the promotion as well. That is what we are going to be seeing in the coming weeks and now we have some more details.

WWE is currently presenting a tournament to crown the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Title. This week on Monday Night Raw, Lyra Valkyria defeated Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai defeated Zoey Stark to advance to the finals. WWE has also announced that the finals of the tournament will be taking place on the January 13 edition of Monday Night Raw, which will be the second to air on Netflix.

Opinion: This is how things can be made to feel even bigger than they did at first. Just having the title being decided for the first time should make for a special moment, but at the same time, we now have almost two weeks to get ready for the match. That should make for a heck of a showdown, with Valkyria and Kai both feeling like a reasonable option for the inaugural champion.
