Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne Become Number One Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship on 2/9 SmackDown

The tag team division within WWE has been heating up in recent months with the addition of Pretty Deadly, British Strong Style, and the Creed Brothers.

Hence, two fatal four-way tag team matches were announced to determine to will compete in the number one contender’s match to determine who will face Finn Balor and Damian Priest.

On the 2/3 episode of SmackDown, British Strong Style defeated three other teams to make their way to the number one contender’s match. On the 2/5 episode of WWE RAW, DIY won their fatal four-way match and earned the right to face British Strong Style tonight on SmackDown.

As expected, this match was a hard-fought contest. Both teams were at their best tonight. The chemistry between these two teams was palpable. Ciampa came close to winning when he hit the Project Ciampa. However, in the end, Pete Dunne hit the bitter end on Johnny Gargano.

With this win, Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne will now face Finn Balor and Damian Priest for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at WWE Elimination Chamber 2024. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you live coverage of WWE SmackDown.
