Matthew McConaughey proposes a wild movie idea to Barbie director Greta Gerwig in his extremely star-studded 2025 Super Bowl commercial for Uber Eats. On Sunday (February 9), the 55-year-old actor presented a wild conspiracy theory about the invention of football, and he believed that it would make for a blockbuster movie. To set the scene, he called in some of his famous pals for the pitch! Keep reading to find out more… “From the very beginning, football’s been a conspiracy to make us hungry,” Matthew said at the start of the clip. According to him, it all started in 1876 with the birth of football. He continued, pointing out all of the allusions to food, starting with calling a football a pig skin, in reference to bacon. It continued into 2025, when Apple is hosting the Super Bowl Halftime Show (performed by Kendrick Lamar this year) in the Caesars Superdome. Just writing all that down makes us hungry.
