Some nice progressions, some free falls… This Friday, UEFA published its ranking of European clubs on its official website. To produce the latter, the body once again took into account the results acquired in the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League over the last five seasons, although it should be remembered that the first edition of the C4 took place during the 2021-2022 season.

At the top of European football in recent years despite being eliminated in the semi-finals of the last C1, Manchester City retains its first place with 123,000 points. Behind them, we find Real Madrid (119,000), reigning European champion, while Bayern completes the podium (108,000). Then come Liverpool (96,000) and AS Roma (90,000) to close the top 5. In France and without any surprise, Paris Saint-Germain remains, for its part, the highest ranked club on a European scale.

PSG leads the dance in France, Real moves up a place!

Eliminated by Borussia Dortmund, eighth in this ranking, at the gates of the final, Luis Enrique’s men are in sixth place with a total of 85,000 points. It should be noted, however, that the Parisian club is out of the top 5, having been fourth at the end of the 2023-2024 season. To complete the top 10, Villarreal (7th, 82,000), Chelsea (9th, 79,000) and Inter Milan (10th, 76,000) are also present. For the rest and concerning the other French teams, let us specify the ten places gained by OM (33rd, 48,000), on the strength of a good run in the Europa League and a semi-final, lost against Atalanta Bergamo.

After the first European quarter-final in its history, lost to Aston Villa in C4, Lille is also rewarded and is in 37th place (42,000). Just behind, we find Stade Rennais (42nd, 40,000). Finally, AS Monaco (65th), OL (70th) and OGC Nice (82nd) are the other French clubs in the top 100. Unlike Lens (107th, 10,000), Brest (108th), who are preparing to play in the first Champions League in their history, Toulouse (109th), Nantes (110th) and Stade de Reims (111th). A ranking, let us remember, oh so decisive, especially for the calculations of the pots of the different European competitions…
