Down? Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to anyone in wrestling and you never know when you are going to see one take place. At the same time, there is always the chance that someone’s injury could be part of a storyline rather than something legitimate. One of those things seems to be taking place again, as an AEW star appears to have been hurt.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: BREAKING: AJ Styles Set For Match Outside WWE

The main event of this week’s AEW Collision saw the House Of Black defeat the Bang Bang Gang. During the match, the House’s Buddy Matthews attempted a top rope Meteora but came up favoring his knee. He was taken to the back and did not return. After the match was over, the Patriarchy revealed that they had attacked Matthews in the back. There is no word on how severe the injury is or whether or not it is part of a storyline.

This could be bad. Check out the match, plus Matthews in action:

Opinion: I’m not sure how bad things are going for Matthews but that is not something you want to see in any situation. Matthews leaving the match is not a good sign, though I wonder if the post match attack was something that was planned in advance. For now though, Matthews is likely going to be out of action and hopefully it isn’t something that is overly serious.

What do you think of the situation? What is next for Matthews in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
