Georgian attacking midfielder Khvicha Kvaratskhelia unexpectedly opposed the latest proposal that was sent to him.
Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has resisted a contract extension offer made to him by his management.
While in Germany for the Euro campaign, Kvara and his agent met Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis and sporting director Giovanni Manna on Thursday.
Kvaratskhelia in no hurry to decide
The summit was held in Düsseldorf, according to The Corriere dello Sport, and a new contract was offered. This lease would weigh 5 million euros per year initially, then 7 million euros per year. However, Kvara resisted the offer, insisting that he did not want to decide anything before the end of the Euro.
This is clearly good news for PSG, who have been ardently coveting the Georgian genius for some time. Luis Campos has even made him his priority in the current transfer window and coach Luis Enrique has validated the lead.
De Laurentiis acted this week after the player’s agent and his father publicly stated that the winger would leave Napoli this summer.
