Hyderabad: Union Minister of Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, responded to recent comments made by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi during his election campaign in Kashmir. Rahul Gandhi had claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had “lost confidence.” Kishan Reddy firmly rejected these remarks, calling them baseless and laughable. He asserted that 1.4 billion Indians have unwavering trust in PM Modi’s leadership.

Reddy went on to criticize Rahul Gandhi, stating that it is Rahul who has lost faith in Indian democracy. He accused Rahul of disrespecting important institutions like Parliament, the office of the Speaker, the Supreme Court, and the Election Commission. Furthermore, he said Rahul’s criticisms have extended to questioning the Indian Armed Forces and aligning with anti-national forces. Kishan Reddy also accused Rahul of using divisive politics by exploiting caste and religion for electoral gains.

Kishan Reddy pointed out that Congress’s electoral record has been poor in recent years. He mentioned that in the last three elections, the Congress party has not come close to winning as many seats as the BJP. “In the 2024 elections, the BJP won more seats than the entire opposition alliance combined,” he said. Reddy emphasized that despite the Congress party’s repeated defeats, Rahul Gandhi continues to spread misinformation and make false accusations against the Prime Minister.

The Union Minister also highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. He said that when the world was worried about India, it was Modi who took decisive action, bringing together scientists and researchers to develop life-saving vaccines. According to Reddy, Modi’s efforts not only saved many lives but also earned admiration from around the world.
