Uniswap introduced these new features to simplify swapping, automate trades, and provide valuable analytics.
Uniswap, a top decentralized exchange for cryptocurrencies, recently announced some exciting new features to make swapping easier and smarter. These updates include Uniswap Extension, Limit Orders, and Data & Insights.
The exchange’s new browser extension lets users access swapping, transaction signing, and crypto management right from their browser sidebar. This means they don’t have to switch between windows or reload pages to use some Uniswap services. The extension works on different devices, and users can connect their mobile wallets by scanning a QR code. This new solution makes swapping cryptocurrencies easy for users.
Another new feature is Limit Orders. Users can now set a specific price for buying or selling tokens. The tool also helps them specify how long the order should be active, which can be up to a year. If the market price matches the conditions of the limit order within the specified time, the trade will execute automatically. If not, the order will expire. Limit orders make trading easier for users, as they don’t have to constantly monitor the markets. Placing limit orders on UniswapX is free, so users can automate their trades without paying any fees.
The decentralized exchange platform has also made improvements to its data and insights pages. These pages provide real-time information about tokens, pairs, and pools. Users can access integrated charts, transaction logs, and other data to make informed decisions. They can analyze token performance, study trading patterns, and discover new assets all within these data-rich pages. These will help them make informed decisions in executing orders and make the trading process smooth and efficient.
New Features Improve Decentralized Exchange Usability
Uniswap introduced these new features to simplify swapping, automate trades, and provide valuable analytics. As a leading decentralized exchange platform, they have been able to facilitate nearly $2 trillion in swap volume, enabling millions of users to engage in on-chain swaps through the web and mobile applications. Now, they aim to enhance the user experience even further.
This commitment to improvement is evident in the words of Callil Capuozzo, Vice President of Design at Uniswap Labs, who expressed excitement about joining the world of extensions. He stated:
“We’re especially excited to join the world of extensions. Our extension is designed for the swapper in a way that others aren’t, and as we build out this platform, we expect people will move seamlessly from the web to the extension to the mobile app and see what they already know and love across all three.”
These remarks highlight Uniswap’s dedication to providing a seamless and consistent experience for users across different platforms.
Decentralized exchanges offer numerous advantages, including the absence of central control, anonymity, and community governance. However, some of these platforms have encountered challenges with their user interfaces. Uniswap’s most recent releases directly tackle these usability issues, resulting in a smooth experience for users of decentralized exchanges.
Users can now begin utilizing the limit orders, data, and insight pages. However, to gain access to the Uniswap Extension, users are required to join the waitlist by claiming a uni.eth username. Access to the extension will be granted within four to six weeks.
