Manchester United are believed to be dissatisfied with Sevilla’s treatment of loanee Hannibal Mejbri, as per Diario AS

The 21-year-old has made just four appearances since signing for the Spanish club in January, all of which have come off-the-bench, while totalling a mere 89 minutes on the pitch.

His last outing came at home to Real Sociedad when he made a 53-minute cameo – his longest yet – as Sevilla triumphantly claimed a rare victory. Hannibal was, however, an unused substitute for the subsequent two matches, as he has been for three other games this year.

Reports suggested at the beginning of his temporary spell that there had been somewhat of a fallout between Hannibal and his new teammates, leading to manager Quique Sanchez Flores omitting him for the first-team until they buried the hatchet.

Alas, it seems as though there’s still a rift between the Tunisian and Sevilla, given that Sanchez Flores is clearly unwilling to grant him a prominent role in his squad.

This means that key figures at United are unable to track Hannibal’s development and analyse how he fares with regular game time in a senior setup. Therefore, it’s pretty safe to say that the 16th-placed side have no plans to activate the midfielder’s buy clause this summer.
