Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to test Nice’s resolve with an imminent bid for Jean-Clair Todibo, as per Sport.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with Manchester United in recent months and even more so since INEOS’ 25% stake was announced, given that they own the Ligue 1 outfit.
However, while Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s acquisition is being ratified by the Premier League, his hands are tied when it comes to aiding Erik ten Hag on the transfer market this month. United also have little room for manoeuvre with Financial Fair Play regulations, so any incomings are likely to be on a loan basis over the next fortnight.
United outlined summer pursuit of Todibo
A report from ESPN today (Thursday), claims that Todibo has been included on a three-man centre-back shortlist for summer business at Old Trafford, as the hierarchy eye a defensive revamp.
However, should Bayern strike up a deal in January by meeting Nice’s £39 million price tag, the Reds will be forced to turn to alternatives such as Jarrad Branthwaite or Matthijs de Ligt.
